John Anderson- At his home near Fairfield, Lancaster County, John Anderson died 
at one o'clock Sunday morning in his 78th year.  He had been as well as usual on 
Saturday night, shaved himself, took a bath and went to bed as was his custom, 
but in a few hours died from apoplexy.  During the Civil War he served as a 
member of Company K, 178th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia.  His wife died about 
thirty-eight years ago.  Two sons survive, T. Barton Anderson, of Media, an 
employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, and George L Anderson, Postmaster 
in Avondale.

ANDERSON- near Fairfield, Lancaster County, Pa. on September 15th, 1918, John 
Anderson, in the 78th year.  Funeral on Wednesday, Sept., 18, at the residence 
of Edward E. Griest.  Services at the house at 1 o'clock p.m. Interment at 
Chestnut Level Cemetery.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend without 
further notice.
