I will be posting it today on Rootsweb - for a trial period, to see if others will help with finding missing connections that may not have "merged" correctly. I will not send out CD's until a few months of public opportunity for corrections has passed by. You will need to be able to open a zip file to load this into your genealogy program - if you have Legacy or if you do not have a genealogy program- you may want to update your copy (free) at www.legacyfamilytree.com Please do not post this to any website without asking permission from me first. If you need a Gedcom - that will have to wait until we send you a CD. Email me if you want one. There are 6279 names/persons in the file with about 1280 different locations. Jon I will try to send you a Gedcom to see if it will load via email. Let me know how that goes. This data file was extracted by eight volunteers, Bill Wolfensberger, of Idaho; Buzz Evans, of Houston, David Wolfersberger, of St Louis, Jim Campbell of Newark, Delaware, Keith Nichols, of Dallas, TX, Mary Ann Campbell of ?.., Norma Brake of..., Myrna Liddell of Langley, WA. Then each gedcom was edited and merged into one large searchable genealogy data file using Legacy software. Charlotte, you will need help to open this zip file and load it into your computer Legacy program. Please create and archival copy for your records, Charlotte and Jon - one that you do not edit - just in case something were to happen to mine out here. We started this in 2001 so this is pretty cool, eh? Bill W. 's (of Ririe, Idaho) line as a direct descendant of Peter Wolfensberger born abt 1560 was done in 2003. This was Larry's very special wish, before his accident, that this Genealogy/GEDCOM database would be created from the translation of the Geschlechterbuch and be made available to anyone in the world who wanted to search it. Rey please print out this email and read it to Larry for us. He will be pleased to know that this finally done and his wish has come true. Gratefully yours, Myrna
