A number of short speeches were indulged in, all expressing the association's unchangeable loyalty to the true principles of Democracy. Mr. R.N. Harper was re-elected president by a rising vote of all present. Mr. Clarence Thomas was re-elected vice president, Mr. T. Wingfield Bullock, second vice president Dr. T.W. Bates, treasurer; W. Mosby Williams, financial secretary, and Mr. H.M. Gregg, sergeant-at arms. Other officers were W. W. Taylor, recording secretary; Alexander N. Breckenridge, corresponding secretary; R. E. L. Yellott, William H. Saunders, W.D. Culeen, I.K. Edmonds, M.P. Evans, R. Titus, J.C. Weedon, Thaddeus Fairfax, John Simpson, and William McKenna, membership committee.
