The double funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Lloyd and her brother, Jacob Cochran, took place at Union Church Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Lloyd was 84 years old and the wife of the late David Lloyd whose heirs still own the farm operated by Earl Groff, near Union. A short time ago the family moved to Elkview, Chester County, where Mrs. Lloyd's death occurred Jan. 1 from pneumonia. She leaves two daughters, Miss Kate, with whom she resided, and Mrs. Alice Summers, of Lancaster. The brother, Jacob Cochran, an inmate of the Lloyd home, took sick about the same time with the same disease and was removed to the hospital at Oxford where he died two days later, aged about 75 years. He leaves one brother, who resides near New London. Brother and sister were buried side by side in one large grave in Union Cemetery. Quarryville Sun, Friday, January 10, 1919
