Conover, a well known resident of Chapel Avenue, Parkesburg, died last night at Coatesville Hospital for in his seventy-ninth year, had been in failing health for the year and had been a patient in the hospital for the past four weeks. Mr. Conover came originally from Georgetown, Lancaster County, but had lived in Parkesburg from about (information obliterated) ty-five years. He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad having worked on the wreck train thirty-five years until he was retired. He was a member of Parkesburg M.E. Church and the Pennsylvania Retired Employees Association. Mrs. Conover died two years ago and he is survived by eight sons and daughters: Mrs. William Hoyer and John Conover, of Parkesburg; Mrs. Harry Brown, Philadelphia; Mrs. Chester McComsey, Mrs. Morris Harnish, Lee Conover, of Parkesburg; Mrs. William Souilliard, of Oxford, and Watee (sic) Conover, of Philadelphia. He also has a brother, Charles Conover of Atglen, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the home of his son, John Conover, 724 Second Avenue, Parkesburg, on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Upper Octorara Cemetery.
