David Landis Keplinger died at the home of his parents, No. 119 Howard avenue on Saturrday evening. Death resulted from typhoid fever after an illness of four weeks. He was in his twenty-first year and a well known and highly respected young man. He was employed at the caramel factory. He was a member of St. Paul's Reformed church and Sunday school, of the Young Men's Christian association, the Brotherhood of Andrew and Philip, Lancaster council No. 912 Junior Order United American Mechanics, and White Cross commandery, Knights of Malta. His funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon, with interment at Mellinger's meeting house. Lancaster Intelligencer, Monday, April 19, 1897
