The funeral of Martin Luther Oblender, the first victim of la grippe in this city, took place this afternoon, from his father's residence, 467 Manor street. It was attended by the Lancaster cadets, employes of Williamson & Foster, and Christ Lutheran Sunday school. There were a number of handsome floral emblems sent by the cadets, the Sunday school and fellow clerks. The funeral services were held at Christ Lutheran church were conducted by Rev. E. L. Reed, of Christ Lutheran church, and Rev. Mayser, of Zion's Lutheran church. Interment was mae at Zion's cemetery. The pall-bearers were John Swenk and Thomas Howell, of the Lancaster cadets; Jacob Arnold and William Johnson, of Williamson & Foster's store, and Joseph Wunch and John Miller, (of Miss Elizabeth Miller's Sunday school class) of Christ Lutheran church.
