He died on Thursday, aged 75 years. He was born in England in the same town that the late Captain Doble, who died several weeks ago, came from. The two men were raised at the same place and came to America together. Both were employed at the nickel mines for more than thirty years, and Mr. Williams was an underground boss up to the time that the mines suspended operations. He was one of the founders of the Episcopal church. Lancaster Intelligencer, Monday, April 19, 1897
