Another wedding took place at 7:30 o'clock on Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Diehm, on Spruce street, when their daughter Miss Annie G., was married to John K. Carper, of this place. The parlor was artistically decorated with plants and flowers for the occasion. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Charles L. Moench, pastor of the Moravian church, and Miss May Miksch played the bridal chorus from "Lohengrin." The bride was dressed in white naisook, trimmed with Valenciennes lace and satin ribbon and carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The bridesmaid was Miss Amy Diehm, sister of the bride, of Lancaster. She wore white Indian linen trimmed with lace and ribbon and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The best man was Nathan E. Seaber, of Reading. The ushers were J. Edgar Diehm, brother of the bride, and James S. Fry. A reception and elegant refreshments followed the marriage ceremony, which was attended by 50 invited relatives and friends. The bride was the recipient of many handsome and useful presents. The groom is a son of Jacob C. Carper, saddler, on Broad street, and is also an usher in the Moravian church.
