Bail in $200 was furnished and he will be given a hearing on Thursday at 10 a.m. before Alderman R. L. Miller. At the hearing before Alderman Boot this afternoon Jesse Weidler and Harry Hurley were held in $200 bail each to answer at June sessions of court. They are charged with maliciously shattering two fine plate glass windows at the Hotel Hoffman. James Jones, of Harrisburg, charged with swindling a large number of Palmyra citizens, was re-committed to prison by Justice Stauffer, of Palmyra, on Saturday, to answer at June sessions. Constable Ulrich escorted the prisoner to jail. ENTHUSIASTIC CYCLISTS VISIT HERE. J. H. Woods, Frank Campbell and Charles Farrington, of Middletown, were the guests of Walter Baxtresser, manager, of the Commonwealth shoe store, at the Lebanon Valley house, on Sunday. The young men are enthusiastic cyclists and made the trip between Hummelstown and this city on their wheels. The day was a model one and the trip was hugely enjoyed. They reported the roads to be in a fine condiction. BURGLARS FRIGHTENED OFF. Mrs. Mat Cavanaugh, of Twelfth and Forge streets, was awakened at an early hour on Sunday morning by hearing a noise issuing from the store room below. She roused her husband who fired several shots at the intruder, who escaped. An investigation showed that an entrance had been effected by shattering a window pane at the front door. Nothing was taken. COMMON PLEAS. Assigned estate of Morris Zorn. Col. A. Frank Seltzer presented the bond of B. M. Strouse, esq., assignee, in the sun of $4,700, with P. S. Strouse, Col. A. Frank Seltzer, Daniel K. Berger and Lewis Fleisher as securities. A rul of the court excludes attorneys from going on bonds so Col. Seltzer withdrew. BONDS APPROVED. P. S. Keiser, esq., presented the bonds of Eugune W. Bowman and Jacob S. Bomberger, teller and assistant teller, respectively, of the Palmyra bank, in the sun of $10,000 each. ORPHANS' COURT. J. G. Adams presented the petition of Samuel U. Reinoehl, committee of Rebecca Shepler, a lunatic and guardian of Robert R. Shepler, a minor son, setting forth that the child is only nine years old, not able to earn his own living and praying to be allowed to attach the pension which the widow receives. Permission was given to attach such money. E. E. McCurdy, esq., made his first appearance and motion this morning. Monroe G. Witmeyer, a son of Adam G. Witmeyer, deceased, late of South Annville township, over 14 years of age, appeared in court and asked for the appointment of Isaac Keefer, of Union Deposit, as guardian. He was appointed and Philip Kettering, of South Annville township, approved as surety in the sun of $1,200. E. E. Meily, esq., auditor in the estate of Joel Texter, deceased, presented his report. The account was confirmed with the exception of a legacy of $1,000 to a Robesonia church, to which exceptions had been filed and which was left for future adjustment. REAL ESTATE DEALS. Catharine Firestine and her husband, W. W. Firestine, have sold to Sara Kline, a house and lot in Jackson township. Consideration, $800. John Frey and wife have sold to John M. Balmer, 14 acres and 50 perches of land in Londonderry township. Consideration, $450. Joseph Fisher, administrator of the estate of Caroline Rupp, deceased, has sold to Elizabeth Bicksler, wife of D. Webster Bicksler, a house and lot in Fredericksburg. Consideration, $350. Adolphus A. Reinoehl and his wife have sold to Samuel M. D. Miller, a house and lot on the south east corner of Guilford street and East alley. Consideration, $1250. J. E. Leibig, trustee appointed by the Orphans' court in the matter of the partition of the real estate of Phares W. Royer, late of South Annville township, has sold to John Shamber, a farm of 88 acres and 65 « perches in Swatara township. Consideration, $305.12. Samuel L. Kreider and Tobias K. Reinoehl, executors of the last will and testament of Joseph J. Kreider, deceased, have sold to Henry D. Meyer, a farm in North Lebanon township, containing 31 acres and 146 perches. Consideration, $1595.65. A number of parties holding county bonds, called at the commissioners' office during the day and presented their coupons for the semi-annual interest. The bonded indebtedness of the county is $51,200. William Lentz, surviving administrator of Sallie M. Kohr, deceased, has conveyed to David S. Rank, a house and lot on East Cumberland street. Consideration, $3,675. Alexander B. Shuey, executor of David M. Shuey, late of East Hanover township, has conveyed to John A. Bomgardner, a farm in East Hanover township. Consideration, $2,951.81. Mr. Bomgardner then re-conveyed the property to Mr. Shuey. Henry Witmer and wife have sold to Andrew Shutter, a lot of ground in Cornwall township. Consideration, $50. John F. Louser, of this city, has sold to Henry Fink, of South Lebanon township, a farm in South Lebanon township. Consideration, $3,000. Jonathan Swope, assignee of Simon Swope and wife, has sold to John H. Schwanger, a farm of 75 acres and 76 perches in North Lebanon township. Consideration, $9,512.21. Jacob G. Witmer and J. H. Westenberger, administrators of Henry Witmer, (j.s.,) deceased, have sold to Samuel S. Bowman, a tract of land in Cornwall township. Consideration, $208.
