During Friday night the water back on a range in the kitchen of George Light, Seventh and Lehman streets, exploded, and as a consequence the kitchen was flooded and the carpets considerably damaged. IN ALDERMANIC COURTS. Dr. Harriet P. Hooper, charged with having committed abortion on Sallie E. Blouch, was given a hearing before Alderman Herman, Saturday morning. A number of witnesses were heard and she was held for court. The defendant was represented by J. M. Funck, esq. At the same time Harry Fox was given a hearing charged with having been an accessory to the alleged crime of abortion. He was discharged for want of evidence. In the evening Fox was given a hearing, charged with having committed adultery with the late Sallie E. Blouch, he being a married man. On this charge he was also discharged for want of evidence. Fox was represented by J. E. Reinoehl and J. M. Shindel, esqs. A boy named Dugan was arrested by Officer Boyer on Saturday night, charged with disorderly conduct. He was taken to the police station, where he spent the night. Yesterday morning Mayor Gerhart fined him $2.
