Moore, this city, over Sunday. Mrs. John C. Groh, of South Sixth street, left on Saturday on a visit to her uncle, Hiram Books, at Mechanicsburg, Lancaster county. Dr. John H. Shaeffer, of Rock, Schuylkill county, visited Lebanon on Saturday. Mrs. VAllie S. Newhard, of North Ninth street, went to Philadelphia on Saturday. Mrs. Thomas H. Cepp and daughters, Elizabeth and Emily, of Hathaway Park, left Saturday morning for Philadelphia on a visit to the former's sister, Mrs. Robert Mitchell. George Johnson, the North Ninth street paper hanger and painter, attended to business at Reading. H. J. Hayden, assistant general manager of the American Iron and Steel company's works, and Mrs. Hayden, returned from Old Point Comfort, Va., Saturday morning. John G. Shank, of South Eighth street, and Robert T. Spotten, of East Cumberland street, went to Philadelphia on Saturday. Mrs. Patrick Eagan, of Scranton, who has been the guest of her husband at the Eagle hotel for several days, returned on Saturday, accompanied by the latter.
