George Gibson, of 1303 South alley, fell dead at his home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Dr. Biever said death was due to a stroke of apoplexy. Deceased is survived by a wife and son. Gibson was commonly known as "Pat" and served during the war of the Rebellion. He was aged about 80 years. Lebanon Daily News, February 17, 1896 GEORGE GIBSON Simple funeral services were held over the remains of George Gibson, late of 1301 South alley, at 2 o'clock this afternoon in Salem U. B. church. Rev. J. H. Von Nieda officiated. Interment was made on the Soldiers' block, Mt. Lebanon cemetery. A delegation from Sedgwick Camp No 42, Sons of Veterans, accompanied the body and buried it with military honors. Lebanon Daily News, February 20, 1896
